Your city deserves better than a fire hydrant.
Most city scavenger hunts send you looking for a lamp post, a fountain, something red. It is the same hunt in every town in America, and you could finish the whole thing without ever learning where you were.
Why we started again
We ran one of these before.
We used to run city scavenger hunts the old way. People bought a ticket, walked a downtown, and somebody sat at a desk the entire time answering questions and handing out hints. That person was the whole experience — and that person was also the reason it could not grow. You cannot staff a desk for every city, every weekend, at these prices.
So we shut it down. And then the part that made it impossible stopped being impossible.
The hunts were good
People finished them grinning and told their friends. That part always worked.
The maths were not
Someone had to be reachable every hour anyone might be playing. That does not scale past a handful of cities.
So we rebuilt it
A Clue Master is reachable whenever you are out there, instead of whenever an office happens to be open.
And we write them properly
Stops chosen because they matter on that street — not because every downtown happens to have one.
What we will not compromise on
Three things.
Local means local
If a clue would work just as well four states away, it does not belong in your hunt.
Help when you need it
Nobody should stand on a corner waiting for an office to open. Clues, not answers, whenever you ask.
No fine print games
Tickets never expire, there is no date to book, and if you walked the whole thing and it was not worth it, you get your money back.
Who we are
Curbside Clues is part of Alibi Entertainment Group.
Alibi Entertainment Group LLC runs live, interactive events — the kind where the guests do the work and the room ends up louder than it started. Curbside Clues takes that outdoors and points it at a whole downtown.
We are based in Ohio, which is why Dayton, Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Toledo and Akron were the first downtowns we walked.
